A Classical Liberal Education with an Infusion of Goodness and Beauty

March 05, 2020

Holy Family Cathedral School

As our transition to a Catholic Classical Liberal Arts School continues this year our students are experiencing the goodness and beauty of our Catholic Faith. Weekly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has been such a wonderful ending to our week and many of the students have experienced this beautiful time with Jesus for the first time in their lives. Preschool through Eighth Grade students have this opportunity to worship and adore Jesus. Our students in Fifth through Eighth Grade learn and experience music through our band program. Learning how to read music, play music and be a part of something bigger that creates such beauty and enjoyment for themselves and others. They performed a Christmas concert along with our choir and all of the other children from Grades Kindergarten through Fourth Grade, doing Carols and Scripture that told the story of Salvation History. Finally, our children in Grades Kindergarten through Eighth have an opportunity to learn how to create beautiful artwork in our art studio in the school. They have studied water color, colored pencils, soft pastels, acrylic painting, pointillism and stain glass. Their art work includes sketching still life for Fall and Christmas decorations, saints, birds, fish, penguins, flowers and Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. It will be exciting to see what other true, good and beautiful things will be discovered and enjoyed by our students at Holy Family Cathedral School for the rest of the year.
