Fall Into Learning and Prayer

November 01, 2022

Immaculate Conception

Happy Fall from Augusta, Georgia. The school has been in session here at Immaculate Conception since July due to our year-round schedule. With our mission to form a Christ-like attitude in all our special needs students, we spend time daily in prayer, learning, and service. The students begin each school day in prayer, they prayer before and after lunch, and they end the day giving God thanks for the blessings of the day. In September, we took a trip to our local Rosary Garden to pray a Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows. The students continue to learn about the different devotions to our Blessed Mother both in a historical and spiritual context. In addition to prayer and service, our students have also been working on our Christmas play, “You Can’t Cancel Christmas!” Students auditioned for the parts of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and angels, and the family members who were so busy that Christmas almost got canceled. Daily practice will continue afterschool until the play is performed right before Christmas break.
