Venango Region Catholic School
At VRCS, the year is winding down and our students are ready for summer vacation. For our sixth graders, this also means they are preparing for a significant transition in their lives: the big move from St. Stephen School to Venango Catholic Jr./Sr. High School. To celebrate such an important accomplishment, VRCS 6th graders participate in Step Up Day where they get to your the new school they will be attending in the fall and meet some of their new teachers by participating in special lessons. For example, one such activity included spending time in our science classroom, where they got to experience a fun lab experiment where they got to make their own bouncy balls. In addition, St. Stephen School honored the 6th grade class with a “Moving-up” ceremony and Mass in their honor. Perhaps the most significant result of Move Up day is the excitement with which our sixth grade class is now eagerly anticipating their futures as VC Vikings and becoming a part of such a special school family.
