St. Michael's School, Mahnomen MN
St. Michael’s School is off to a busy start spreading the Good News among our students and with the Mahnomen community.
Each morning, St. Michael’s School students and teachers start the day with morning prayer.
We gather together and read a gospel message and pray for members of our parishes and families who are sick or who have died.
We also pray for issues that our community and the world are facing.
St. Michael’s School recently held an appreciation Mass for our local Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance EMS Workers.
Students celebrated Mass with our guests and prayed the Prayer of St. Michael over them.
Fr. Dave blessed keychains with medals of St. Michael and St. Christopher attached to offer protection for our police, firefighters and EMS while they serve our community.
After Mass, police officers, firefighters, and EMS workers joined our students for hospitality in the social hall.
Our grandparents were invited to a special meal to honor them.
During the meal, students sang a blessing over them and thanked God for giving them grandparents.
St. Michael’s School families spent a Saturday morning in September building a float to drive through the Mahnomen Wild Rice Days Parade.
The theme for our float was “Our School is so A Peeling”.
Students and families road on the float and walked along side handing our candy treats.
The float was driven by a St. Michael’s School alumnus Kaden Noll and his father Pat.
Kaden recently restored the tractor which belonged to his late grandfather.
The St. Michael’s School families received 2nd place in the parade float contest.
