St. Peter Cathedral School
Thanks to the support from the Black and Indian Mission Office and the generous grants being awarded, students at St. Peter’s Cathedral School in Wilmington’s lives are enriched in so many ways … let’s take a snapshot of the second half of their school year 2023-2024:
Principal Karen Banta walked to the Mayor’s Office with three of her students where they talked with Mayor Purzycki of Wilmington about how he was such a huge supporter of Catholic Education. He told the children how he attended Catholic school and what schools he went to. He then signed a proclamation designating January 28-February 3 Catholic Schools Week in Wilmington. Such a proud moment for everyone.
Father Markellos used the outside courtyard to conduct a hands- on demonstration of how the palms are turned into ashes for Ash Wednesday, bringing greater meaning to the annual tradition.
Academic and Service Recognition Events throughout the year motivate the students to put forth their best effort.
A Foam Party Year End Closing Event makes it all worthwhile! St. Peter’s Cathedral is all about making happy and lasting memories!
