St. Lawrence School

The start of the 2020-2021 school year will be sealed in history due to Covid-19. This pandemic has forced the school community to quickly adapt in order to continue instruction. With much effort from teachers, administration, parents, and students, St. Lawrence School has been successful with virtual education. In order to ensure that each child would be ready for virtual instruction, our school loaned iPads to any family who demonstrated a need for one. Teachers have been beyond brilliant in creating engaging online lessons for students.

Saint Augustine Church is one of the oldest African American Catholic Church in the Washington, DC area with a unique and rich history. As the nation faces an uprise in racial tension while dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, the parish remains an institution embracing its community.

Students and their fathers were invited to our school to enjoy morning prayer and breakfast together prior to the start of class.

Thanks to funding from CNAMB, Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton, Massachusetts has been able to carry on our mission of supporting young men and women to serve their communities, Church and the world!

St. Lawrence School celebrated All Saints Day a bit differently this year due to Covid-19. Around one-third of our students are receiving in person instruction in the school building.
