The solemnity of Pentecost signals the end of the 50-day-long Easter season. Dubbed the “birthday of the church,” the celebration marks the coming of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles.
During Lent, sixty members of the parish completed the “Jesus and the Eucharist” series in March 2024. All who attended stated that they really enjoyed the lessons on Jesus and the Eucharist series.
Marian High School was blessed to be able to offer scholarships to several African American students because of the generosity of the Black and Indian Mission Grant.
On Sunday, June 23, 2024, was Monsignor Chanel's last Mass at Saint James Catholic Church. Monsignor Chanel served our community with a caring, compassionate, understanding heart for nine years.
