Funding assisted in promoting, providing materials, food for fellowship, and supplies, and serving as the host church for the public announcement of the archdiocesan Black Catholic Pastoral Plan, We Say “Yes,” Lord.

The Intercultural Office was overseeing the Black Catholic Pastoral Plan until a new director of Black Catholic and Ethnic Ministries was hired in mid-June 2019, around the time when the Black Catholic Pastoral Plan was completed for implementation.

At ten o’clock am mass begins. We start with our welcome song and the four directions song, followed by prayer intentions and church announcements.

This January the theme for the Catholic Schools Week in the Diocese of Fort Wayne South Bend was Learn, Serve, Lead, and Succeed.

The main focus of Congregation of the Great Spirit main has been preparing for the 30th Anniversary since the establishment of the parish.

We were privileged to have a Bishop from Canada visit our parish for a Sunday Mass.

Following each Mass, Father Romanus has conversations with individual students before they return to their classrooms. This is an invaluable opportunity and Evangelization.

St. Michael Indian celebrated Catholic Schools Week starting with a drive for the Little Sisters of the Poor for paper goods and personal hygiene items.

Rural Deacon, Fr. Mark Hoelsken, travels to St. Mary’s, Mountain Village, and Pilot Station about once a month to provide the Mass and sacraments.
