St Kateri Tekakwitha Mission Church is deeply grateful to the Black and Indian Missions for the boost in funding this quarter. Without it, we would have been hard pressed to pay all the bills.

Sr Agatha Obinka, a member of The Oblates of the Sacred Heart of Jesus teaches religion to students in K-4 at St. Joseph the Provider.

The Diocese of Rapid City is piloting a Mental Wellness Ministry in several parishes during this grant period, including some located on the Pine Ridge and Standing Rock reservations.

The Body, Mind and Soul Summer Camp is sponsored by the Religious Education Program at St. Francis Mission each summer and incorporates Lakota teachings and crafts.

Even though Summers here in the AZ Desert can reach temperatures in the mid 100’s, we still had many activities going on at the Missions on the Gila River Indian Reservation.

The Sapa Un Catholic Academy is St Francis Mission’s faith- based, Dual Language School for students in kindergarten through the 8th grade located on the Rosebud Reservation.

African American Scholarships for students attending Catholic School are very important to the students and their parents.

The accompanying photos show youngsters who participated in a Bible study that was conducted at three Griffin Center sites involving children from six different public housing complexes in East St. Louis, Illinois.
