We have been fortunate to be able to start Release time Religious Education classes in three schools.
On November 7, 2021 we celebrated four baptisms at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, St. Francis, SD. We welcomed four infants, children and their families into the Parish.
The SFM Youth group (sponsored by the St. Francis Mission) collaborated with the RST Wiconi Wakan Health and Healing Program to bring Halloween parades and candy drive thru giveaways to all the smaller communities.
The SFM Youth group participated in the Youth Parade on August 29, 2021. They took 1st place! The theme was honoring our children, uplifting our children, and cartoon characters.
On November 1, 2021, third through sixth-grade students crafted Saint medals in the religion class of Mrs. Jayde Legah-Carriere.
The St. Francis Mission Youth Group has grown to seventeen young people. With Ben and Jenny Black Bear's guidance they have begun to collaborate with Wiconi Wakan Health and Healing Center.
As we return to more normalcy in our classrooms, school grounds and events, students are overjoyed being able to participate so much more. Students are able to participate in group activities and projects in the classroom.
The School year for 2021 has been very productive for St. Jude Mission School. For starters, our enrollment went up this year.
